Story
Hi there!
I'm making a difference by fundraising for a cause that's close to our hearts. A fundraiser that is for Aussies and the funds stay in Aussie.
Last year i did a 96km trek over 5 days at Kangaroo Island for Foodbank and together we raised $40,000. This year i am doing another trek of similar length - Larapinta trek. With your help we hope to raise more funds.
Did you know that in the past year 3.7 million Aussie households experienced moderate to severe food insecurity? Food insecurity is now being experienced in homes it has never touched before.
We are all doing it tough, cost of living has gone through the roof and we ourselves have had to review our spending, but we can still go out for dinner, purchase that coffee and buy a takeaway lunch from time to time. There are families that have to make a choice between paying the rent and putting food in their kid's lunch box.
They are the ones i am walking for. That is the very reason that i will go without a shower for 1 week, sleep out in the freezing cold and trek 96km in 5 days.
